Developing your Leaders and Teams is a higher priority than ever as the context in which we all work is tougher than ever. Virtual ‘Face to Face’ workshops are proving to be a very effective solution, even with large groups.
When an external crisis changes our life, many of us tend to focus on the daily issues. At the same time, we push back our strategic plans to build our competitive edge. So, many businesses are waiting for COVID to ease before continuing to implement their people development plans. But why wait?
In fact, what I am finding is that the proactive businesses are taking action now. Those like CWM Homewares. Elana, their Product and Design Manager, wanted to ensure that her business and her people are ahead of the game.
Her team of key people engaged in a highly interactive digital/virtual session; it focused on highlighting the diversity of strengths in the team and maximising interaction and collaboration with her leaders.

Transcript:
Wayne: I am really pleased today to introduce Alana to you. Elana did a program with her team last week. She heads up the Products And Design for CWM Homewares.
Look Elana, I know you were hanging out so you could get people face to face but obviously the current crisis made that difficult. You went ahead and gave it a go in the virtual format. What has been the feedback?
Elana: The feedback has been great. As you said we did the workshop last week. There was a little bit of anxiousness from some of the guys but since then we’ve had some really positive feedback and self awareness about personality types and their colleagues types.
Wayne: So you don’t feel that there was a great deal lost because we did not have the face to face value out of that online experience?
Elana: Definitely. I think that in an ideal world, we’d all love to do it in an actual space, but virtually it just worked as effectively. All the responses have been really positive
Wayne: Great, I appreciate that Elana
I just wanted to grab you today because a lot if people out there need to be encouraged and know that you can do this even though it is in a virtual format.
So thanks again for your time
Elana: No worries Wayne
