There couldn’t be a better time for team building than now that we face our new vaccinated living-with-COVID freedoms and opportunities. You may have thought about bringing your team together to have some fun, re-connect, re-fresh and re-engage. That would be a step in the right direction.
We hear that good workers are resigning and moving on in droves, or are about to do so. They are at least rethinking everything around their life including whether they still feeling happy working for you.
Over the years Bridgeworks have partnered with many businesses who have focussed on building cultures of excellence. Now they are counting their blessings!
Team Building – A Wise Post-Pandemic Investment
People want to know that they are both supported and part of an effective team. They may not need a pay rise to keep them as they know they are already being looked after. (….and they know that the grass is not greener on the other side!)
Does your business have a culture that attracts and keeps good people? Is that culture giving your team and your organisation the ability to make the most out of “The Next Normal”?
“Red Flags” For Employers
One of the more influential communities to which I belong is The NCP (The Network of Consulting Professionals).
Recently The NCP held a Forum on “The Next Normal” exploring the impact of COVID on business, including emerging opportunities and what I would call “Red Flags” for employers.
Over forty key business leaders, CEOs and Business owners gathered to discuss the melting pot of issues and opportunities arising for business and the economy.
Consequences of Low Unemployment?
As we move towards one of the lowest unemployment figures since the last decade, employees can better pick and choose their employment options.
Some professional ‘white collar’ firms are offering pay rises of between 10 percent and 40 percent to keep staff.
Invest In Building Your Culture
For over 20 years, I have doggedly encouraged employers to ‘invest in their people’ by authentically investing in their cultures. After all, most people would agree that people leave managers, not jobs.
Are you sweating yet?
If ‘no sweat’, you are most likely an employer or manager who has regularly deposited into your employees EBA (Emotional Bank Account).
You have considered them your most important asset by the way you have treated them, not by the values poster that sits precariously on the staff room wall.
Re-connect, Re-engage, Re-ignite
There is no better time to gather your team, your board or your leadership group together to reconnect face to face, re-engage people’s mind, body and soul and re-ignite the passion.
Building the “Passion” that people draw on when working authentically together.
Considering that 50% of Bridgeworks programs are outdoors, the Triple R program takes full advantage of Nature’s healing qualities.
That is just what the doctor ordered for many who have been locked behind their computers for months.
